In this episode, I speak with Anwesh Satpathy about the philosophical origins liberties and freedoms, particularly free speech. He explains with examples how different cultures had their own ideas about free speech and exchange of ideas and how it changes with social situations. We also touch upon the Nupur Sharma issue briefly and talk about the condition of free speech in India, both legally and societally.
